We applied an ice and water barrier on the eaves, valleys, and around any roof penetrations, such as vents, skylights, and chimneys. We also installed a synthetic underlayment on the rest of the roof deck, which provides a smooth and flat surface for the shingles. These layers act as a shield against rain, snow, ice, and wind, and help to maintain the integrity of the roof.
Install the new shingles.
